Group description
The Research Group "Normativity, Emotions, Discourse and Society" (GINEDIS) has an interdisciplinary scope that concentrates the efforts of philosophers, theorists of literature and classical and German philologists. The Group aims at displaying a cultural history of concepts as vulnerability, poverty, belonging and exclusion, having into account a gender perspective, with the goal of working out a critical genealogy of key social pathologies of XXth and XXIst Century. The members of the Group have being funded by the MICINN of the Government of Spain and have lead or taken part in projects funded by the DFG of the Government of Germany and the FCT of the Government of Portugal. Some members have experience as coordinator of ITN and RISE MSCA networks. It has also records of receiving PhD and post-doc scholars in research stay at the Complutense.

Research topic
The research lines of the Group take shape from the cooperation among fields as history of philosophy, political theory, philology and theory of literatura, which aims at analyzing the social morphologies and the cultural constellations of the present.

Within this framework the group will specially value projects related with the following key points:

a) Contribution of intellectual women to the Enlightenment process in Germany, Spain and Latin America (XVIIIth Century). Conceptual history and edition of sources.

b) Survey of the pagan religious practices and beliefs in late Greek and Latin Antiquity (IVth and Vth Century). Conceptual history and edition of sources.

c) The anxiety of belonging and social exclusion, from Antiquity to XXth Century. Conceptual history and edition of sources.
